We have immediate internship opportunities within our engineering team to help develop our next generation products. As an Allfinanz Engineering Intern you'll get a real project to work on that will ship as a part of one of our products. You'll play an active part in the team and will get the opportunity to contribute to development sprints as well as learn how commercial software is produced. You'll also learn lots about agile development, issue tracking, sprint planning, code reviews and continuous integration.

You'll see everything that goes into building software products - not just code, but user interface design, testing, marketing, sales, documentation, integration, and customer support.

Intern Java Engineer (IN2010JE)

You are:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4 year Computer Science course at a 3rd-level institution
  • Have top grades or a track record of success
  • Able to deliver on time in a fast paced agile environment
  • Have top notch programming skills in some of the following:
    • Java
    • XML processing
    • SQL and relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
    • Spring, Hibernate
    • Java web frameworks (e.g. Struts, GWT, Stripes, Play)
    • Enterprise application servers (e.g. Tomcat, Glassfish, JBoss)
    • Eclipse, Maven, svn

Intern User Interface Engineer (IN2010UE)

You are:

  • Someone currently enrolled in a 4 year Computer Science course at a 3rd-level institution
  • Top grades or a track record of success
  • Passion and flair for user interface design
  • Ability to deliver on time in a fast paced agile environment
  • Top notch programming skills in some of the following:
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JS frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Dojo, Prototype)
    • Adobe Flex/AIR
    • GWT/GXT
    • Familiarity with common UI design patterns (MVC, MVP, DI, RPC etc.)
    • Java
To be eligible for an internship, you should be returning to university afterward. Engineering internships are typically full-time positions and are paid. Start and end dates are flexible, with a minimum duration of three months.
